In building the new 2021 Rogue, Nissan is using enhanced applications of advanced manufacturing technology (such as cobots and virtual reality).  “Not only have we improved the way we build the new Rogue, the team is using this new technology to build all the vehicles in our U.S. plants with better efficiency and quality for customers,” said David Johnson, Vice President, Production Engineering and New Model Quality, Nissan North America. “It’s a win-win for Nissan and our customers.”

  • Cobots: Are collaborative car manufacturing robots, which improve safety performance, by supporting factory automation – resulting in less strain on workers – helping free up workers time.
  • Virtual Reality: Nissan Engineers are now also using virtual reality to identify any concerns or potential issues with the new 2021 Rogue – before moving it into production, which helps prevent delays!
