Nissan has just unveiled its vison for the next generation of crossovers by showcasing the all-new IMQ Concept – at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show – in Switzerland.  With All-Wheel-Drive and an e-POWER System, the IMQ Concept gives us a preview of what Nissan has in mind for an electrified future – in Europe.

Delivering instant acceleration, Nissan’s IMQ Concept comes equipped with a 100% e-POWER Electric Motor, delivering an amazing 250 kilowatts and 700 Nm of torque!  Plus, when all this power is channelled through an All-Wheel-Drive System that delivers Multi-Motor Control to each wheel – you have a vehicle that is perfect for any road condition!

With Invisible-to-Visible (I2V) Technology – which allows occupants to see what may otherwise be invisible – the IMQ Concept also provides confidence on the road.  Add in Nissan’s Advanced (prototype version) ProPILOT, and the IMQ Concept also offers enhanced autonomous driving capabilities in urban environments – which supports Nissan Intelligent Mobility.  “The IMQ’s design combines traditional and modern Japanese influences and shows what’s possible when future crossovers are powered by Nissan Intelligent Mobility,” said Alfonso Albaisa, Senior Vice President for Design at Nissan. “With the IMQ, the interior and exterior are seamlessly blended together, signalling what our design direction may be for Nissan’s third generation of crossovers in Europe.”

Japanese themes can be seen throughout the interior with Laser-Cut Geometric Designs included in the Sculpted Seats, Instrument Panel, and Door Trim with Parcel Shelf, including Two-Tone 3D Technical Fabric.  The Ergonomically Shaped Steering Wheel has also been created with “soft-touch” functionality into the back of the wheel. Plus, there is also an 840-Millimeter Screen providing vehicle information such as e-POWER Status.  In addition, the IMQ comes equipped with a secondary screen, which hosts the IMQ’s Virtual Personal Assistant.

On the exterior, you will find Nissan’s signature V-Motion Grille, which has been created with strong corners at the outer edges – bending vertically into the hood – and horizontally with the front bumper.  Following the Japanese traditional design –  known as Lamellas – extensive use of three-dimensional ridges have also been used on the darkened lower sections of the exterior.  It just gets better when you add in in 22-Inch Alloy Wheels with Bespoke Bridgestone Connect Tires! The Bespoke Bridgestone Connect Tires actually communicate information to the driver via the graphical user interface. Data transmitted includes Tire Load, Tire Pressure, Tire Temperature, Tire Grip Level, and Tire Wear and Tear. This data information helps the IMQ automatically calibrate its in-car control systems to work optimally.

The IMQ Concept will be launched in Europe by 2022.  In the meantime, if you are interested in getting to know more about Nissan vehicles, please feel free to stop by our dealership where one of Sales Consultants would be happy to help you, or you can also browse our 2019 Online Inventory.
