After celebrating its first full year of production in Canada just this past June, the Nissan Qashqai continues to see additional rises in growth, and popularity among consumers.  So, let’s take a look at what makes this compact SUV so great, and what sets it apart from its competitors!

Power

Coming equipped with a 2.0L 4-Cylinder Engine, generating 141 Horsepower and 147 lb.-ft. of Torque, the Nissan Qashqai definitely has all the passing power you’ll ever need.  Plus, you will get great fuel efficiency – with a combined 8.1L/100 km (city/highway)! Additionally, the Qashqai also lets you choose between a Six-Speed Manual Transmission and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), and comes available in both Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD) and All-Wheel-Drive (AWD)!

The Perfect Fit

Not holding back on space or comfort, the Qashqai is able to give you generous head and leg room, along with a super comfy interior.  Also, with 60/40 Split Rear Seats, and the available Divide-N-Hide Cargo System, the Qashqai offers you plenty of space to bring all your gear along.

The Qashqai comes in three trim levels: Qashqai S, Qashqai SV and Qashqai SL.  Quick Comfort Heated Front Seats come standard on all models along with a 5 Inch Display Screen, Siri Eyes Free, Bluetooth and a RearView Monitor. If you are looking for more advanced features, why not try the Qashqai SL, which offers Leather Appointed Seats, a Heated Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel, a Leather-Wrapped Shift Knob, an Around View Monitor, a Power Sliding Moonroof, and a 7 Inch Display Screen with Voice Recognition for Navigation and Audio – all riding on 19 Inch Alloy Wheels.

Competition

The Qashqai comes with available Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive, an Around View Monitor, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, and Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection.  However, the 2018 Mazda3 / Mazda3 Sport, and the 2018 Toyota C-HR do not offer Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive or an Around View Monitor as available options.  Nor does the 2018 Mazda3 / Mazda3 Sport or the 2018 Mazda CX-3 come available with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, or Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection.

It’s also worth noting that the Qashqai gives you more headroom (1006 mm) than the 2018 Mazda3 / Mazda3 Sport (981 mm), and the 2018 Toyota C-HR (968 mm). That means no more crouching, no matter how tall you are!  And with an aerodynamic design, the Qashqai not only looks good, but it is also fuel efficient, getting you a combined 8.1L/100 km (city/highway).  The same cannot be said about the 2018 Toyota C-HR (combined 8.2L/100 km) or the 2018 Kia Soul (combined 8.7L/100 km).
